FRANCOIS FIEDLER  FOUNDATION
The Foundation was established to promote and safeguard the life-work of François Fiedler, further its purpose is to study and  research the artwork of Francois Fiedler. Our mission is to promote the study and understanding of modern art.   The Fiedler Foundation is cooperating with museums, public collections and organize retrospective exhibitions.     Fiedler is one of the most important artist in Post-War New School of Paris. After World War II he settled in France, where he  became fascinated with abstract art. He was discovered by Miró who called Fiedler "the painter of light". Braque, Miró, Chagall,  Calder, Chillida, Fiedler, Giacometti, Matisse, Riopelle, Tápies a great circle gathered and was joined by a new generation of artists.   Fiedler created a unique style in Lyrical Abstract Expressionism.
